Great Game Day Snacks Even If You Can’t Cook

Not everyone can cook or knows how to handle a grill so what do you do for a tailgate party or Sunday football at your house? You can make some great game day snacks even if you can’t cook or know how to use a grill! The following are just a few recipes that can really bring your game day party or tailgate together:

  • Deviled Eggs – This is probably one of the easiest and quickest snacks that are wonderful for any occasion. Simply boil a dozen eggs, allow water to come to boil then put eggs in for exactly twelve minutes. Slice them in half lengthwise, take out the yolks and put them into a bowl. Add a couple tablespoons of mayo, you can go low fat too, sweet or dill relish and a squirt of mustard. Mix together until a smooth paste is formed. Use a teaspoon to fill the egg white half and sprinkle some paprika on top.
  • Quesadillas – Quesadillas are one of the easiest snacks to cook and they offer a wide variety of different styles to choose from. You can do simple cheese ones or you can add leftover meat or veggies to spruce them up. Buy a bottle of salsa or picante for a great dipping sauce. Simple take flour tortillas butter one side and lay buttered side flat on a griddle or skillet on med high heat. Add your filling and place another buttered tortilla butter side up on top of fillings. When the bottom tortilla is golden brown, flip. When both sides are done and the cheese is melted, remove from skillet and using a knife or pizza cutter cut into wedges.
  • Chips/Veggies and Dip – There is the old standby that anyone can do and that is either chips or veggies with dip. You can buy all of this prepackaged and put them into a bowl in the shape of the ball of the sport. For instance, if it is a football party, you can buy football shaped bowls at any party supply store. If you want to get a little more personal, you can purchase sour cream and get a packet of dip mix to create your own dip.

You don’t have to be a chef to put together a nice spread for a tailgate or game day party. There are so many no or little cooking recipes out there that are easy to do and taste great. Don’t be afraid to add try new things to make your party the one everyone talks about all season long!
